Juergen Nett was born in 1964 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany. After completing his Ph D in Biochemistry at Kaiserslautern University in Germany, he moved to the United States for his postdoctoral studies on mitochondrial protein import. Here he met his wife Sholeen with whom he has two kids, Josephine and Roman. He currently resides in Grantham, NH and works for a small biotechnology company as a Principal Scientist. He has written several scientific manuscripts in both German and English and is currently working on the translation of Old Surehand III.
